|
How long in advance do we need to book our date? |
| This depends on how full the captain's
calendar is. The sooner you book your date, the
more likely you are to reserve the specific date of your
choice. If the calendar is open, you can give as
little as a few hours or a few days notice. The
important item is that you must be past the three day
waiting period for your marriage license. |

|
What are your months/days/times of operation? |
| "Capt'n Jack" is in operation from about
mid-May to mid-October. Specific dates and times
vary based on your specific desires. Any of the
seven days of the week could be available and any
departure time from 7am to 9pm is a possibility. |

|
Does "6 passengers" allowed include the captain? |
| The captain does not count as a
passenger so six people includes the bride, groom, and
four guests. |
| |
|
What happens in the case of inclement weather? |
| Weather reports are watched closely in
the days/hours ahead of the departure time. The
captain reserves the right to cancel or postpone
departure due to hazardous weather. If the
forecast reflects chances of a passing shower, the time
of departure can possibly be moved. Other
conditions may warrant moving the ceremony to a covered
lakeside location or rescheduling the date.
Regardless, a mutually agreeable alternative will be
arranged. |

|
How can we
customize our cruise? |
| Just about any way you like. We
can cruise around islands of your choice, play music of
your choice (a cd player is on board), cruise for less
or more time, add flowers and cake, make a pit stop for
ice-cream, whatever your imagination can come up with .
The only limitations the captain places on your ideas
are factors that have the potential to negatively impact
safety, personal property, and must be in good taste. |
| |
| Can
we bring children? |
| Children are ok. Ages five and
under must wear a life jacket while on board (it's the
law!). For ages over five, this is optional. For
toddlers and infants, arrangements will be made to
ensure proper life jackets are on board. |

|
What is
appropriate clothing to wear? |
| Anything comfortable. You may
dress as casual or as formal as you like. The
recommendation is to wear flat shoes (no heals for
women) since the boat will rock and sway. Solid footing
makes a difference! You don't have to wear shoes
at all if you prefer. Shorts & t-shirts or dresses
& ties, makes no difference. Whatever you prefer,
it's your day! |
